Creative writing is an expressive form of literature; one which demands the students to use their own creativity, imagination and story to portray a particular message, emotion, or plot. It defies the traditional bounds of other forms of writing and is completely subjective to our own preferences and experiences.

Asian Culture: An Introduction

Introduction to Asian Cultures is an interdisciplinary and general survey course designed to introduce students to both traditional and contemporary Asian cultures. Topic areas may include popular cultures, food cultures, ethnic identities, folk traditions and customs, arts, religions, languages, and gender roles. The course aims to help students familiarize themselves, understand, and appreciate Asian cultures.

Through this course, students will be able to:

1.     recognize salient features of traditional and contemporary Asian cultures;

2.     describe, explain and interpret a variety of Asian cultural phenomena;

3.     demonstrate knowledge of Asian cultural values

4.     demonstrate their recognition of how culture affects personal and social experiences and values in a global context;

5.     demonstrate that they are ethically sensitive to the role of cultural, social, and political diversity in human thought and action by exploring and responding to others in open dialogue about diversity

Seminar In English Language Education

This course is designed (1) to provide the learners with the skills to plan and conduct research with contemporary various designs in English Language Education (ELE),  (2) to provide the learners with experiences in conducting research in ELT through the analysis of various relevant research article, (3) to enable the learners to write and disseminate a comprehensive research proposal to be proposed for the project for writing an undergraduate thesis.
