Blended Learning
This course equips students with the concepts and skills to design, develop and deliver Englis courses in a blended/hybrid mode. Topics include the nature and supporting theories of blended learning, blended learning planning, technology for blended learning, development of blended learning, examples of bichronous activities (synchronous and asynchronous), and the provision of blended learning.
E-Learning English Teaching
This course equips students with the concepts and skills to design, develop and deliver language learning linguistically online. Topics include the basics of online learning design, the essence of online teaching; specific features of online language teaching, how and where to get resources to develop professional online language teaching.
Educational Action Research
This course equips students, as prospective English educators, to understand the concepts of and experience the process of planning and implementing educational action research (EAR).
Introduction to Asian Culture
Introduction to Asian Cultures is an interdisciplinary and general survey course designed to introduce students to both traditional and contemporary Asian cultures. Topic areas may include popular cultures, food cultures, ethnic identities, folk traditions and customs, arts, religions, languages, and gender roles. The course aims to help students familiarize themselves, understand, and appreciate Asian cultures.
